The leaders of the Group of Seven (G7) called for de-escalation towards Iran, while emphasizing that Israel has the right to defend itself.

According to News1 and others on the 16th (local time), in the joint statement of the G7 summit held in Canada, the leaders declared, "We affirm that Israel has the right to defend itself," adding, "We once again express our support for Israel's security."

Regarding Iran, they stated, "We have consistently made it clear that Iran must never possess nuclear weapons," and emphasized, "The resolution of the Iran crisis should lead to a broad de-escalation of hostilities in the Middle East, including a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip."
