The leaders of the Group of Seven (G7) have called for de-escalation towards Iran, while emphasizing that Israel has the right to defend itself.

According to News1 and others on the 16th (local time), through the joint statement from the G7 summit held in Canada, the leaders said, "We affirm Israel's right to defend itself," and added, "We once again express our support for Israel's security."

Regarding Iran: "We have consistently made clear that Iran can never possess nuclear weapons," they emphasized, "We urge that the resolution of the Iran crisis lead to widespread de-escalation of hostilities in the Middle East, including a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip."
