WLFI Team-Linked Wallets Burn 100 Million Tokens in Apparent Unlock Policy Execution

Wallets linked to the World Liberty Financial team have burned about 100 million WLFI tokens.
On May 12, on-chain analysis account EmberCN wrote on X that addresses tied to the WLFI team burned a total of 100 million WLFI over the previous 19 hours.
The burn was worth about $6.68 million, EmberCN said.
Four team-linked addresses moved a combined 1 billion WLFI to an unlock vesting contract address, then burned 10% of that amount.
The move may be part of the WLFI unlock policy disclosed last month.
EmberCN wrote that the burn appears to be part of the implementation of the WLFI unlock rules announced last month. Of the 45.23 billion WLFI held by team-linked addresses that are subject to unlocking, about 4.523 billion tokens, or 10%, are expected to be burned in total.
