peaq, a blockchain focused on decentralized physical infrastructure networks, said it has integrated peaqOS with LG Electronics’ robot simulation environment. The project described the move as a test of an on-chain economic model in which robots provide individual functions as services and make payments on their own.
On May 12, peaq announced on X, formerly known as Twitter, that peaqOS had been connected to LG Electronics’ CLOiSim environment.
Through the integration, robots can offer services on a pay-per-skill basis and settle transactions autonomously, the project said.
The announcement comes as efforts to build a machine economy by combining artificial intelligence, robotics and blockchain are expanding.
peaq said robots can directly monetize individual capabilities, coordinate services with one another and make autonomous payments on-chain.
The payments are processed in USDT using peaqOS and Tether’s WDK_tether infrastructure.
