BDACS, Aptos Partner to Build On-Chain Commerce Network for KRW1 Stablecoin
Forecast Trend Report by Period

BDACS, a digital-asset infrastructure company, said May 13 that it signed a memorandum of understanding with layer-1 blockchain platform Aptos to expand the ecosystem for KRW1, a Korean won-linked stablecoin, and cooperate on related infrastructure. The company described KRW1 as the world’s first won-linked stablecoin.
Under the agreement, BDACS will expand the KRW1 ecosystem to the Aptos network.
The companies plan to widen KRW1's use cases across Aptos's domestic and overseas payment rails and partner network. They will explore applications in the real economy, including integration with mobile gift certificate payment services and blockchain wallet infrastructure.
"Aptos's transaction-processing performance and global network provide an optimal environment for bringing the digital financial infrastructure envisioned by KRW1 into everyday life," BDACS Chief Executive Officer Ryu Hong-yeol said. "Through this partnership, KRW1 will establish itself as a general-purpose stablecoin."
Ash Pampati, SVP and Head of Growth at the Aptos Foundation, said the combination of BDACS's KRW1 and the Aptos blockchain will help build a global on-chain commerce infrastructure spanning daily payments, business-to-business settlements and real-world asset tokenization.
