Whale activity in Worldcoin climbed to its highest level this year, fueling speculation that participation is broadening among both large investors and retail traders.
On May 27, on-chain analytics firm Santiment said the number of whale transactions in Worldcoin reached 64 over the past 24 hours, a new high for 2026.
The number of active addresses also rose to 1,309 in the same 24-hour period, the second-highest level this year. New wallet creation increased to 379, the highest level of 2026.
Santiment said simultaneous increases in whale transactions, active addresses and new wallet creation typically point to expanding participation from both institutional and retail investors.
