Hyperliquid (HYPE) has climbed to a record high, with investor attention and market optimism also rising to their highest levels this year.

On-chain analytics firm Santiment said June 1 that Hyperliquid recently topped $73, setting a fresh all-time high. At the same time, mentions of the token and positive investor sentiment surged across major crypto communities on X, Reddit and Telegram.

Santiment said Hyperliquid's social dominance had reached its highest level of the year. In other words, Hyperliquid accounted for its largest share of overall crypto-market discussion so far in 2026.

Positive sentiment has also increased alongside the price rally. As Hyperliquid has emerged as one of the market's strongest-performing projects, investor confidence has strengthened, Santiment said.

Santiment attributed the recent advance to growth in derivatives trading and broader ecosystem expansion.

According to the report, Hyperliquid is gaining traction as an alternative to centralized exchanges, or CEXs, helped by rising perpetual futures volume and the expansion of decentralized derivatives infrastructure. The launch of new trading products, higher protocol revenue and expectations for ecosystem growth also boosted investor sentiment.

Institutional inflows have also continued. Bitwise bought about $8.18 million worth of Hyperliquid through over-the-counter trading firm FalconX on June 1. Grayscale is also reportedly set to launch a Hyperliquid ETF this week.

Santiment added that if social dominance and optimism become excessively elevated, they could also serve as a sign of short-term overheating. It said investors should also watch for shifts in sentiment going forward.
