Humanity said it had confirmed that a foundation member’s private key was stolen in a hacking incident earlier on June 9.
Humanity Protocol co-founder Terence Kwok wrote on X that the project had identified a security breach involving the theft of a private key belonging to a Humanity Foundation member.
He urged users to refrain from interacting with the bridge and all liquidity pools until their safety is confirmed. The team is working with security experts and exchange partners to resolve the issue, he wrote. Kwok added that protecting the community is the project’s responsibility and that it will continue to share updates on the response and its progress.
Humanity Protocol is reported to have suffered about $19 million in losses from the hack.
