Trump Says Iran Deal Could Be Signed Within Days, Cites Positive Stock-Market Reaction

President Donald Trump said a deal with Iran could reach the signing stage within days, though Tehran has yet to confirm that officially.
The New York Times reported on June 11 that Trump, speaking at an Oval Office event, referred to the Iran deal framework he announced a day earlier and said the stock market was reacting positively.
"The signing will happen quickly," Trump said, adding that it could come within the next few days and that New York could be the venue.
Trump had earlier said US-Iran negotiations were effectively in their final stage and that he had canceled a planned military strike on Iran.
Fars, Iran's semi-official news agency, reported that the US had accepted language proposed by Iran and that the chances of approval were high. It added that the two sides had not yet reached final agreement on the text of a memorandum of understanding, or MOU.
Markets have grown more hopeful that US-Iran talks are advancing, though uncertainty remains because a final signing and formal approval procedures in both countries are still pending.
