Strategy’s perpetual preferred stock, STRC, has fallen to a record low, with market चिंता focused more on the company’s financial structure than on Bitcoin’s price.

Decrypt reported on June 18 that CoinShares Head of Research James Butterfill said uncertainty over how Strategy will manage its rising debt and dividend obligations is weighing on STRC.

A higher Bitcoin price may lift the value of Strategy’s holdings, but it does not automatically increase the company’s available cash, Butterfill said.

Benchmark-StoneX Senior Analyst Mark Palmer described the weakness in STRC as structural.

The decline in STRC is not a sign of financial distress, Palmer said. If the dividend rate falls below the yield required by the market, a price adjustment is a natural result of the product’s structure.

He added that STRC currently offers a high dividend yield and includes a mechanism designed to bring the price back to par, giving investors an attractive total-return opportunity.

STRC was trading at $87.20, down 2.02% from a day earlier.
