Iran said it will send a delegation to Switzerland for follow-up talks with the US.
Iran’s semi-official Fars news agency reported on June 20 that a Foreign Ministry spokesman said the delegation would visit Switzerland to discuss follow-up steps in the negotiations and demand that the other side honor its commitments.
The trip is part of follow-up negotiations as Washington and Tehran seek to sign a memorandum of understanding, or MOU.
The two sides are set to continue talks on a final agreement covering Iran’s nuclear program, sanctions relief and economic cooperation.
Iran has previously said it plans to spend about 60 days negotiating a final agreement after signing the MOU.
In the market, analysts say the scope of sanctions relief and how both sides would carry out their obligations remain the main sticking points even as negotiations continue.
