US-Iran talks in Switzerland have stalled, but they have not collapsed, CNN reported.

CNN, citing a source, reported on June 21 that the negotiations were temporarily suspended while both sides continued behind-the-scenes contacts to resume the talks.

Vice President JD Vance and the US delegation are in Switzerland for talks with Iranian officials, according to the report. Discussions have centered on the Strait of Hormuz and ways to preserve the ceasefire in Lebanon.

A diplomatic source said the two sides are also expected to begin discussing Iran's nuclear program.

Separately, Iran's Tasnim News Agency previously reported that the Iranian delegation left the negotiating venue in protest after President Donald Trump threatened another major airstrike on Iran.
