Securitize, a real-world asset tokenization platform, has filed a lawsuit against digital securities infrastructure firm tZERO in federal court in Delaware.
Crypto media outlet The Block reported on June 22 that tZERO had previously claimed Securitize’s DS Protocol and Vault Registrar infringed two of its patents related to infrastructure for self-executing security tokens and cryptocurrency integration.
Securitize rejected the allegation, saying tZERO’s patent infringement claims lack merit.
The company said tZERO had brought a baseless patent suit and that the claims run counter to the industry’s principles of fair competition.
