Russia will ban cryptocurrency mining in some areas, including parts of Moscow and the Kursk region, starting next month.

BlockBeats reported on June 26 that Russia’s Energy Ministry had prepared a draft government resolution laying out the measure.

The resolution will take effect on July 1. It specifically prohibits cryptocurrency mining in parts of Moscow and the Kursk region.
