Iran has no plans to hold follow-up talks with the US in the coming days on a postwar agreement, Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said on June 29.

The Islamic Republic's top priority is to ensure the memorandum of understanding is implemented, Baghaei said, according to Iran's state-run IRNA news agency. Tehran is seriously pressing its demands in that process, he added.

Iran is monitoring implementation of several provisions in the memorandum, including oil sales and free access to its frozen assets, he said. An Iranian expert delegation is due to travel to Doha, Qatar, this week.

Asked about the start of negotiations on a final ceasefire agreement, Baghaei said Iran has not yet entered that stage. Under Article 13 of the memorandum, talks on a final agreement depend on the start and continued implementation of Articles 1, 4, 5, 10 and 11.

Baghaei also rejected media reports that a senior US delegation would visit Doha at the same time as the Iranian team, saying there would be no talks with the US at any level in the coming days.

The US delegation's visit to Qatar is entirely unrelated to the Iranian delegation's trip, he said. The Iranian team's visit is intended to review implementation of the memorandum's provisions, including Article 11.

Earlier, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi also denied US media reports, saying no working-level talks with Washington were scheduled for this week.

President Donald Trump, however, wrote on Truth Social on June 29 that Iran had requested talks and that a meeting would be held in Doha on June 30.
