Tom Lee, chairman of BitMine Immersion Technologies Inc. (BMNR), reiterated a long-term price target of $250,000 for Ethereum, saying the cryptocurrency still has substantial room to climb.
Yahoo Finance reported on July 17 that Lee said during a YouTube appearance that Ethereum could eventually rise to $250,000. While he said he is not firmly committed to that exact target, he added that the token still has significant upside.
Lee also cited the late Charlie Munger, former vice chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, to underscore his view that “big money is not in the buying and selling, but in the waiting.”
He added that many investors still underestimate the role cryptocurrencies could play in an artificial intelligence-driven economy. Ethereum could serve as the payment layer for the future financial system, while crypto infrastructure could become a core component supporting digital assets and AI-based commerce.
