Uniswap is holding a governance vote on a proposal to expand the scope of its protocol fees.

The Block reported on July 18 that Uniswap governance had put two fee-related proposals to a vote.

One proposal would apply protocol fees to Uniswap v4 for the first time. The other would extend protocol fees to Uniswap v2 and v3 on Robinhood Chain.

Uniswap deployed all three protocols — v2, v3 and v4 — on Robinhood Chain on July 1, when the chain’s mainnet launched. Robinhood Chain recorded $3.1 billion in decentralized-exchange volume in its first week alone, according to the report.

If the proposals pass, the newly generated protocol fees will be used to burn Uniswap tokens. With fees collected across more protocols and chains, the token burn could also increase.
