The US military has completed a ninth straight day of airstrikes targeting Iran’s military command facilities, missile launch sites and drone launch bases.

US Central Command said on July 19 it successfully concluded the nine-day operation against Iran at 10 p.m. Eastern time, or 11 a.m. in South Korea on July 20.

The targets included Iran’s military command facilities, air defense and coastal surveillance sites, naval assets, missile and drone launch bases, and communications networks.

CENTCOM said the operation was intended to further weaken Iran’s military capability to attack commercial and civilian vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

The command added that the US military remains on high alert as it holds Iran accountable under orders from President Donald Trump, the commander in chief.
