Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned on July 22 that Tehran would respond strongly and decisively to any attack targeting Iran, Walter Bloomberg reported.

Any party involved in such an attack would also be considered a legitimate target, Araghchi said.

Separately, a spokesperson for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps posted on X that mines had been laid in the southern shipping route of the Strait of Hormuz and warned the maritime industry.
