New York Attorney General Calls for Stronger Safeguards in CLARITY Act
Forecast Trend Report by Period

New York Attorney General Letitia James on July 27 urged Congress to strengthen safeguards in the CLARITY Act, a bill that would set a market structure for digital assets in the US, in a post on her official X account.
She said the bill could weaken state governments' authority to crack down on financial crime and other illegal activity. James also called for additional protections, including tighter regulation of crypto assets that have passed through money-laundering mixers and stricter rules for elected officials.
