Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh said he will continue holding press conferences after Federal Open Market Committee meetings through the end of this year, Bloomberg reported on July 29.

At a press conference, Warsh said the Fed would not be constrained by market pricing in making interest-rate decisions. Markets can be a useful source of information, he said, but they are not decisive.

Warsh added that he is hearing growing impatience from households and businesses. He said the Fed would consider the views of external working groups, but its final policy judgment would not be determined by them.
