RWA Perpetual Futures Overtake Bitcoin Trading Volume on Major Exchanges

Tokenized real-world asset products are proving more popular than Bitcoin on digital-asset exchanges, Cointelegraph reported.
Citing a report from market analytics firm Talos, Cointelegraph said on July 31 that RWA perpetual futures traded on Hyperliquid and Binance reached $37.2 billion this week, about 9% higher than Bitcoin perpetual futures over the same period. Over the past seven days, RWA perpetual futures volume reached 99.2% of Bitcoin's volume.
By product type, tokenized equities accounted for the largest share at 57.8%, followed by tokenized commodities at 28.2%.
Trading in RWA perpetual futures is expanding rapidly on Hyperliquid. From July 13 to July 19, RWA perpetual futures volume on the platform totaled $25.1 billion, surpassing the combined volume of all other perpetual futures products traded there.
