Changpeng Zhao, the founder of Binance, urged investors to remain cautious after a recent cold-wallet hacking incident, saying hardware wallets can also have security vulnerabilities.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Aug. 1, Zhao wrote that hardware wallets may contain bugs and that even wallets used for a long time can develop flaws. Spreading assets across multiple wallets may be one way to respond, though that approach carries other risks as well.

There is no 100% safe method, he added. Zhao urged users to keep up with the latest security information and manage their assets safely.
