SK Hynix has become the world’s largest single-stock holding in leveraged exchange-traded funds as investors pour money into semiconductor-linked products.
KobeissiLetter said on Aug. 3 that leveraged and inverse ETFs tied to SK Hynix held about $5.5 billion in assets under management, the largest total for any single stock globally.
Micron ranked next with about $5.1 billion, followed by Nvidia at roughly $4.8 billion in leveraged and inverse ETF assets.
Among non-semiconductor stocks, Tesla had the largest total at about $3.7 billion.
Across the sector, leveraged and inverse ETFs investing in semiconductor-related stocks held about $21 billion in assets under management.
Investors also piled into SOXL, the U.S. triple-leveraged semiconductor ETF. The fund drew $6.9 billion of net inflows in July, its largest monthly intake since launch.
