Dinari, a tokenized equities platform, has officially launched a blockchain-based US stock trading service for investors in the United States.

CoinDesk reported on August 4 that Dinari opened 724 tokenized stocks, including all S&P 500 constituents, to accredited US investors. Investors can buy and sell the stock tokens directly through self-custody wallets using Circle's USDC stablecoin.

The tokens trade on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base and Avalanche, with support for Solana and Sei set to be added soon. The service operates through Dinari's infrastructure as a registered broker-dealer and transfer agent. Partners include Circle, Stripe unit Privy, Para and Monaco.

Dinari's tokenized shares, known as dShares, are backed one-for-one by underlying shares held by a regulated custodian. Investors retain shareholder rights including dividends, voting rights and corporate actions while managing the assets directly from self-custody wallets. Dividends are paid in USDC.

The tokenized equities market is drawing a range of competing models. Robinhood and Payward, Kraken's parent, run tokenized stock services outside the US through offshore structures. Ondo Finance last month unveiled an SEC-compliant framework using BlackRock's iShares Core S&P 500 ETF and Micron shares as underlying assets, though the service is not yet available to US investors. Citigroup projects the tokenized securities market could grow to $5.5 trillion by 2030.

Dinari already distributes dShares in more than 85 countries. The latest launch extends that reach to the US market.
