Robinhood Launches Commission-Free Crypto Trading in UK, Adds AI Analytics

Robinhood has launched commission-free cryptocurrency trading in the U.K.
CoinDesk reported on August 10 that Robinhood will offer U.K. customers commission-free trading in more than 50 digital assets, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), XRP and Hyperliquid (HYPE). Trades will be executed through Bitstamp, the crypto exchange Robinhood acquired in 2025.
The service will be offered through an integrated platform that allows users to access stocks, options, futures and Individual Savings Accounts, or ISAs, in a single app. Robinhood said many existing U.K. platforms eat into returns with opaque pricing and wide spreads, while its new service offers a transparent, low-cost alternative.
Robinhood also introduced an artificial intelligence-based analytics feature. Robinhood Cortex Digest for Crypto combines the latest news, market data, technical indicators and the company's own insights to explain in plain language what is driving price moves in individual digital assets.
The company also unveiled blockchain infrastructure for U.K. developers. Robinhood Chain, an Arbitrum-based Layer 2 blockchain, is now available to developers in the U.K.
Jordan Sinclair, head of Robinhood's U.K. business, said a new generation of British investors views digital assets as a key pillar of a diversified portfolio. The launch marks an important step in Robinhood's push to become an integrated investment platform in the U.K., he added. The service will begin a phased rollout this week to eligible users in the country.
