Bitmine, the world’s largest corporate holder of Ether, bought 7,391 ETH over the past week, raising its total holdings to 5,805,238 ETH. That equals 4.8% of Ethereum’s circulating supply of 120.7 million tokens.
A PR Newswire release dated Aug. 10 said Bitmine’s digital-asset, cash, marketable securities and strategic investment assets totaled $11.6 billion. Those assets include 5.8 million ETH, 209 Bitcoin, $104 million in cash and marketable securities, a $180 million stake in Beast Industries and a $69 million stake in Eitco Holdings.
At an Ether price of $1,928, Bitmine’s ETH holdings are worth about $11.2 billion. The company said it has reached 96% of its goal of accumulating 5% of total ETH supply. It also said it has bought ETH every week for about 14 months since starting its Ethereum treasury strategy on June 30, 2025.
Bitmine has staked 5,067,309 ETH, worth about $9.8 billion at $1,928, or 87% of its total holdings. As of Aug. 7, the annualized yield was 2.63%, implying about $257 million in annual staking income. The company said staking all of its ETH would generate about $294 million in annual rewards.
Chairman Tom Lee said it was disappointing that the Clarity Act did not come to a Senate vote before the August recess. Still, he said markets are focusing more on softer inflation and employment data. Lee added that the odds of a September Federal Reserve rate increase had fallen to 40% from 75% two weeks earlier, and that easier financial conditions would support digital assets.
Since Bitmine shifted to its Ethereum treasury strategy on June 30, 2025, the company’s stock has often outperformed ETH in the following month after Ether beat Bitcoin by a wide margin on a monthly basis, Lee said. In July, ETH outperformed Bitcoin by 1,100 basis points, similar to moves in July and December 2025 and March 2026, he added.
Bitmine repurchased 3 million common shares last week. Since Aug. 1, 2026, the company has bought back a total of 19.1 million common shares under its $4 billion share repurchase program.
Lee said Bitmine’s common stock remains undervalued. He also called the latest buyback the largest-ever share repurchase by a digital-asset treasury company.
Bitmine is the world’s largest Ethereum treasury company and remains the second-largest digital-asset treasury company globally after Strategy.
