233,000 Bitcoin Shift From Long-Term Holder Wallets After Coldcard Hack
Forecast Trend Report by Period

Decrypt reported on Aug. 11 that about 233,000 Bitcoin moved out of long-term holder wallets after attackers exploited a firmware vulnerability in Coldcard, causing about $130 million in losses.
That was more than 100 times the value of the funds stolen in the Coldcard hack. While hackers targeted Coldcard, about $15 billion worth of Bitcoin quietly moved to safer storage, the outlet reported. Some of the transfers came from Coldcard users moving funds to multisig wallets, while others came from Ledger and Trezor users rattled by the breach.
