Mike Selig, chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, said forces opposed to digital assets have suppressed financial innovation.
Watcher.Guru reported on August 18 that Selig said, “For years, anti-crypto forces, pessimists and those seeking to slow technological progress have suppressed innovation.”
He added that the CFTC is now “turning the page on the past” and working with innovators to forge a path toward “a new frontier in finance.”
