Telegram Applies for '.gram' Domain to Offer Personal Web Addresses to 1 Billion Users
Forecast Trend Report by Period

Telegram has formally applied for the “.gram” top-level domain as it seeks to offer users personal domain names.
Pavel Durov, Telegram’s founder, wrote on X on Aug. 18 that the company had officially submitted the application to the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, or ICANN.
If ICANN approves the application, Telegram’s roughly 1 billion users would be able to use personal domains based on their usernames. For example, the Telegram username “@durov” could become “durov.gram,” while “@monk” could become “monk.gram.”
Users would also be able to create and host interactive websites directly on Telegram through command inputs, Durov wrote.
