Wyoming has moved the cross-chain infrastructure for Frontier Stable Token, or FRNT, its Solana-based state-backed stablecoin, from LayerZero to Chainlink.

CoinDesk reported on Aug. 18 that the Wyoming Stable Token Commission completed the migration to Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol, or CCIP, after an extensive security review.

Under a multi-year agreement, Chainlink CCIP will serve as FRNT’s exclusive cross-chain infrastructure.

The move is the first known public blockchain infrastructure switch by a U.S. government entity on security grounds.
