The CLARITY Act is on track to pass the Senate next month.
CoinDesk reported on Aug. 21 that Coinbase Chief Executive Officer Brian Armstrong expects the CLARITY Act to win more than 60 votes in the Senate on Sept. 15. He said he is confident the bill will clear the first procedural vote after Congress returns to session.
The procedural vote, which would allow the Senate to begin formal consideration of the bill, requires 60 votes to pass.
Armstrong also said discussions on the CLARITY Act have entered the final stage, signaling that an end to uncertainty around US digital-asset regulation may be close.
