Cointelegraph reported on August 21 that Bitcoin miner Canaan Inc. (CAN) surged more than 25%. Strive (ASST) and Metaplanet (MTPLF), both corporate Bitcoin holders, also climbed more than 16% each.
The rally in crypto-linked stocks appeared to follow Bitcoin’s continued advance past $79,000.
As Bitcoin extends its gains, shares of related companies, including miners and Bitcoin-holding firms, are also seeing bigger moves.
Bitcoin traded at $77,132.37 on Binance’s Tether (USDT) market as of 5:05 a.m. on August 22, up 6.08% from a day earlier.
