BNB Smart Chain, or BSC, has activated the Pasteur hard fork on its mainnet.
Cointelegraph, a cryptocurrency-focused media outlet, wrote on X on August 25 that the Pasteur hard fork had gone live on the BSC mainnet.
The upgrade is aimed at strengthening security for cross-chain bridges, staking and governance.
The network's block time remains unchanged at 450 milliseconds.
