The US government has moved a small amount of Bitcoin seized from an account linked to Alameda Research.
Arkham, an on-chain analytics platform, said on Aug. 26 that the government transferred part of the Bitcoin it seized about three years ago from an Alameda account on Binance.US to another address.
Arkham said the transaction warrants attention for any indication that the US government could move to dispose of its remaining Alameda-linked Bitcoin holdings.
Still, the on-chain transfer alone does not confirm that the government has begun selling Bitcoin. The amount moved, the purpose of the transfer and any additional disposal plans have not been confirmed.
