MoonPay Adds AI Access to Solana Lending, Enabling Natural-Language Deposits and Borrowing
Forecast Trend Report by Period

MoonPay, a crypto payments platform, has added a feature that lets users access Solana-based deposit and lending services through AI agents.
CoinDesk reported on August 27 that MoonPay integrated Solana lending protocol Kamino into PayBox, its AI-focused payments vault service. Eligible users can now use natural-language prompts in AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude to deposit tokens or borrow against crypto collateral.
Kamino is one of the leading decentralized finance lending protocols in the Solana ecosystem. According to DefiLlama, it has about $1.3 billion in total value locked and roughly $1 billion in active loans outstanding.
The update does not introduce a new lending product. Instead, it allows users to access Kamino's existing services through AI-driven natural-language commands. Users can require passkey approval for each transaction or allow the AI to execute trades automatically within preset limits.
Forced liquidations can still occur under Kamino's rules if the value of collateral falls below a certain threshold. Because the system depends on AI to interpret commands and carry out transactions, execution errors are also possible.
MoonPay launched PayBox in July with support for payments, token swaps, bridging and Aave-based yield features. With the Kamino integration, PayBox's DeFi capabilities now extend to Solana-based lending.
The service is unavailable in the US, the UK, the European Union and Australia. Access may also be restricted depending on the region and asset.
