Ondo has urged the US Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to allow stock-based perpetual futures in the US market.

Cointelegraph reported on September 2 that Ondo believes the products can be supported under the current US regulatory framework without the need for new rules.

Perpetual futures are derivatives with no expiration date, unlike standard futures contracts. They are widely used in crypto markets, but stock-based versions in the US face regulatory constraints.

Ondo said the SEC and CFTC could use existing rules to bring such products into the US market.
