Forecast Trend Report by Period

Final action on the CLARITY Act, a bill that would set a market structure for digital assets, could be delayed as the US House is poised to shorten its September session ahead of the midterm elections.
Crypto news outlet U.Today reported on September 3 that the House will return on September 14, meet for about four days and then leave Washington earlier than scheduled until after the midterm elections. The Senate will also return on September 14, with a first vote on the CLARITY Act projected for September 15.
If the Senate passes amendments to the CLARITY Act, the House would need to approve the revised measure again for it to become law, or the two chambers would need to produce an identical final version.
A significantly shortened House schedule in September could leave too little time to complete the legislative process before the midterm elections.
