Anonymous Cat, or ZCat, a Solana-based cat meme coin, has distributed about $2.8 million worth of Zcash to its holders.
CoinDesk reported on September 7 that ZCat charges a 3% fee whenever the token is traded or transferred. Most of that fee is converted into Zcash and distributed to wallets holding more than $20 worth of ZCat.
Rewards paid out so far total more than 2,320 Zcash, worth about $2.8 million as of September 7. The cumulative number of payouts has surpassed 470,000.
A recent jump in Zcash has sharply increased the value of those rewards. Zcash has surged 2,300% over the past year and hit a fresh all-time high of $1,200 a day earlier.
