On Sept. 8, Alderoty wrote on X, formerly Twitter, that he had personally asked the offices of senators who oppose the CLARITY Act or have yet to decide their position to meet with actual crypto holders.
He said the request was for lawmakers to meet ordinary people who own digital assets and have stories of their own, rather than lobbyists or industry executives. There are about 67 million crypto holders in the U.S., he added.
Because they will be affected by the vote, they should be given a chance to make their voices heard, he said.
