Senate Democrats are poised to put forward a counterproposal that would roll back much of the Republicans’ latest revisions to the CLARITY Act ahead of a vote in the chamber.

On Sept. 15, Crypto In America host Eleanor Terrett, citing industry sources, said the Democratic counterproposal would address most or all of the changes Republicans added to the bill the previous day.

The key question is whether Republicans will make further concessions before the Sept. 15 vote. It remains unclear whether they will accept additional Democratic demands or insist that Democrats first vote to open debate on the bill if they want further changes.
