Republican Senator John Kennedy said the Senate’s rejection of the Clarity Act was not unexpected and signaled the legislation could still be revived.
Eleanor Terrett, host of the Crypto in America podcast, said on September 15 that Kennedy believes the bill has not been completely discarded. The issue, he said, is that Congress may have to wait until the lame-duck session at the end of the term to take it up again.
