Robert Kiyosaki, the bestselling author of "Rich Dad Poor Dad," warned that the "biggest crash in history" has begun in global financial markets.

Bitcoin.com reported on September 20 that Kiyosaki wrote on X, formerly Twitter, that "the biggest crash in history has begun" and claimed a downturn that started in Europe and Japan in 2026 is spreading worldwide.

He cited the boom in artificial intelligence investment, the war in Iran, excessive debt and the retirement of the baby boom generation as causes. Investors over 40 with retirement assets such as 401(k) plans and individual retirement accounts, or IRAs, could face difficulties, he wrote.

Kiyosaki said he holds Bitcoin, gold and silver instead of cash to prepare for turmoil in financial markets. He added that for years he has invested in private businesses, income-producing real estate and oil production facilities while holding gold, silver and Bitcoin rather than cash.
