A large cryptocurrency investor sold about $86.76 million worth of Bitcoin over the past five days, then bought a similar amount of Ether and staked all of it, on-chain data showed.
Lookonchain, an on-chain analytics firm, said on Sept. 21 that the whale sold 1,107 Bitcoin on Hyperliquid over the five-day period. The sales totaled about $86.76 million.
The whale then spent about $86.5 million to buy 34,422 Ether. All of the purchased Ether was staked.
Lookonchain said the wallet's activity showed the mystery whale was continuing to shift funds from Bitcoin into Ethereum.
