Wu Blockchain reported on September 21 that X Internet Unlimited Company and X Corp. filed a lawsuit in the U.K. High Court on September 17 against Vivek Kumar Sen, Jamyang Sherpa and operators of related accounts.
X alleges the defendants systematically ran multiple accounts, posted identical or substantially similar content, and artificially inflated engagement metrics by liking and reposting one another's posts.
It also alleges they bypassed the platform's enforcement measures and improperly obtained at least 207,384 pounds through the Creator Revenue Sharing Program.
X suspended the accounts on August 18. In the lawsuit, it is seeking repayment of the payouts, damages, interest and legal costs. The company estimates the cost of investigating and analyzing the accounts, along with follow-up measures, will reach at least 75,000 pounds.
