On-chain analyst EmberCN said on Sept. 22 that the FTX-Alameda asset liquidation team transferred 27,372 Ether through six wallets to crypto market maker Wintermute about three hours earlier. The tokens were worth about $75.32 million at the time of the transfer.
EmberCN said the move may indicate that FTX and Alameda entrusted Wintermute with selling the holdings as they dispose of assets amid the recent rebound in cryptocurrency prices. It has not been confirmed whether the tokens were actually sold.
