Chainlink is partnering with Pacific Meta, a Japanese blockchain and artificial intelligence company, to build asset-tokenization infrastructure for Japan’s financial market.

Pacific Meta said on October 16 on its website that it had entered into a strategic partnership with Chainlink Labs. The collaboration is focused on expanding the adoption of tokenized assets, on-chain identity verification and compliance infrastructure for Japanese financial institutions.

As part of the partnership, Pacific Meta will adopt Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol, or CCIP, as its preferred solution.

The company also added Chainlink’s Automated Compliance Engine, or ACE, to its Partner Solutions service, which supports the rollout of third-party technologies. That is intended to help Japanese financial institutions and companies automate compliance procedures when issuing and managing tokenized assets.

Andy Hung, head of alliances at Pacific Meta, said Japanese financial institutions are moving quickly toward tokenized finance, but reliable infrastructure and compliance systems are essential for the shift. Through the partnership, Pacific Meta aims to bring Chainlink’s technology, already used by global financial institutions, to the Japanese market in a form tailored to local needs.
