Binance, the global cryptocurrency exchange, has delayed the resumption of withdrawals and temporarily suspended Binance Alpha trading because of a security review.
In a post on its official X account on Oct. 29, Binance said it was conducting security checks and would resume withdrawals once the security issue is fully resolved. It added that user funds are safe and that it will provide further updates on the situation.
As part of its security measures, Binance also temporarily suspended Binance Alpha trading. The affected services include token purchases using funds in spot wallets and Alpha instant trading. Those services will also resume after the security issue is resolved.
Earlier, Binance said technical errors were disrupting withdrawals for some users and that recovery work was under way. This time, it said resolving the security issue is a condition for resuming both withdrawals and Alpha trading. It did not provide a timeline for a full resumption.
