XRP’s price has fallen nearly 30% over the past month and is now stuck in a range in the low-to-mid $1 area. The market view is dominated by expectations of further downside, as crypto investor sentiment has recently frozen. Still, some analysts say that if XRP’s move into the regulated mainstream accelerates on the back of developments such as the U.S. crypto market structure bill (the Clarity Act), a powerful rebound catalyst could emerge.
According to crypto market tracker CoinMarketCap on the 23rd, XRP was trading around the mid-$1.3 level as of that day, down about 4% from the previous day. That marks a roughly 30% plunge from a month earlier. After sliding to the mid-$1 range in early this month, XRP has continued to trade in a range. Its market capitalization has shrunk by more than $26.5 billion (about KRW 38 trillion) this month alone.
XRP’s sharp drop has been driven largely by deteriorating risk appetite. According to Alternative, the Crypto Fear & Greed Index has remained in the ‘Extreme Fear’ zone throughout this month. Caroline Mauron, co-founder of Orbit Markets, said, “The crypto market remains fragile,” adding that “macro uncertainty—including geopolitical tensions surrounding Iran and confusion over U.S. tariff policy—is weighing on the market.”
